But, they also offer slightly different packages in-between, so you’ll need to consider what works best for your distinct taste and cruising needs. That is the surefire way to enjoy the best Oahu dining cruise experience around. Looking at the three cruises, they all have similar cancellation requirements that they’ll let you know up front. If for any reason they cancel your cruise, they expressly state that they can (and will) refund your money 100%. But, if you have to cancel your trip, you have to alert them 24 hours prior to the time you are required to check-in. If cancellations are made within this time or in the case of no shows, they keep the full amount.
About This Tour
Escape the stress of everyday life on our luxurious Three Star Sunset Dinner & Show Cruise, the ultimate Hawaiian dining and entertainment experience on the ocean! If you're searching for the best activities in Hawaii, this cruise is a must-do. As a catamaran sail, this dinner cruise option is stable and comfortable due to the double hull design of the vessel. The low-riding design also puts you closer to the surface of the water, making you really feel like you’re on the ocean. And using wind power to operate, this cruise is more eco-friendly than larger motorized boats. As far as casual sunset dinner cruises go, you can’t beat the Makani catamaran.
Sunset Dinner Cruise
Begin this unforgettable cruise by boarding the Star of Honolulu at the Aloha Towers Marketplace. Round-trip transportation to the Marketplace is available if you want worry-free door-to-door service for an additional fee. The Star sets sail from the historic pier area with a complimentary champagne toast. In fact, two complimentary premium beverages are included in the price of your cruise.
Deluxe Three Star Dinner

Every Friday night in Waikiki, an aerial fireworks show is held by the Hilton, right on the beach by their resort. Waikiki’s crowds get even more thick on Friday nights for this reason, which make fireworks cruises an attractive option for anyone who wants front row seats to see the sky show. The dinner menu includes a buffet of hot and cold dishes as well as one complimentary alcoholic drink. A full cash bar is also on board, with reasonably priced drinks available.

They will pick you up right at your hotel, plus you will not have to worry about parking, missing the boat, or having too many Mai-tais. The cost is $19 per person, round trip, and this can easily be added to your reservation during the check-out process. We do advise that you find yourself a good seat that is not too far off from the main dining areas. Although there is plenty of crab to go around, if you love crab like I do you’ll want to sit close so you can enjoy all-you-can-eat crab. Also, if you’re lucky and go during the right time, you’ll have the opportunity to see herds of Humpback whales. They swim into the warm waters of Hawaii from chilly Alaska to breed and calve.
Later in the evening, there is a hula lesson for those passengers who want to join in on the fun and dance along. Interestingly, though, they also allow you to come with your own drink and some food on the Catamaran (Honolulu City Lights Sunset Dinner Cruise), provided you clean up after yourself. This is a little known fact since they don’t publicly advertise it.

Indulge in the chef’s creations with a prepared tasting menu and enjoy a night of sailing in the warm Hawaiian waters with endless glasses of champagne in hand. Any request for a refund 72 hours or more before the tour or activity starts is honored with a full refund. On Fridays, we stay out a bit longer to enjoy the Fireworks show off of Waikiki. Additional premium beverages and the STAR's special selection of vintage wine and champagne by the bottle available for purchase. On Friday nights we stay out for an extra little bit so that we can enjoy the fireworks shot off from the edge of the world-famous Waikiki beach.
Enjoy exquisite cocktails, live jazz and breathtaking views of the Waikiki fireworks and Hawaiian sunset. This deluxe cruise is specially designed to provide you with luxurious three-star food, beverages, and entertainment. The Star of Honolulu is a well-equipped 1500-passenger vessel, famous for its wide open wrap-around decks and panoramic windows, that sets sail from the Honolulu Bay.
Join this sunset dinner cruise for an evening aboard a double-decker catamaran and enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner while listening to entertaining stories narrated by the captain. Sunset cocktail cruises are one of the most popular things to do in Waikiki. They are much like sunset dinner cruises, but include free drinks rather than a meal. Booking a sunset cocktail cruise is a great way to kick off your night in Waikiki. Prince Kuhio’s dinner cruise offers a casual sunset dinner cruise on a mid-sized passenger boat.
Here’s a brief overview of how the tours compare to each other. Your captain will point out historic and natural landmarks as you cruise by them; see if you can spot local surfers at Waikiki Beach catching the last break of the day. With so many cruise companies to choose from, you may be wondering which one is the best for you.
All of the food was picture perfect and tasty but smaller portions than I expected and it was certainly the smallest maine lobster I have ever seen. The upstairs on the ship was set up like a very nice restaurant, white tablecloths and the wait staff were in black suits - very fancy. The wait staff was polite and as professional as could be but as far as I could tell there was only one waiter for the entire top section this made getting drinks a bit slow. The jazz music was mostly just piano and was too loud for the room the piano had a microphone set up and it seems like it could have been turned down a notch. I shouldn't have to strain to hear the person I'm eating with who it just across the table, the couple next to us made the same comment about the volume.
